The term “deschooling” arose over time as more and more public school students began the transition to homeschool. On this page you will learn more about the process of transitioning from public school to homeschool, why students doing this need a period of time to make that transition (deschooling), and how to continue the transition to a more formal habit of homeschooling. As an avid reader and book junkie, I’ve also curated a list of five non-homeschooling books that are making a difference in our current homeschooling journey and our day-to-day lives.
